Stand up for Poetry 2021
Event description
Stand up for Poetry is a Hunter region poetry program that encourages poetic expression and skills development while fostering the poetry scene through workshops and special events.
Due to the current COVID19 situation, all Stand Up for Poetry events have been postponed.
We are exploring options to hold a combined Hunter heat of the Australian Poetry Slam in October (online) and offering an online poetry slam workshop in the lead up to the heat.
We are also working through possible solutions and tentative dates for our other events for early 2022.
We will keep your email on file and will advise you when we have a revised schedule of events to share.
Stand Up for Poetry is a partnership between Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and Port Stephens Libraries.
