    Standard Online MHFA Refresher

    Event description

    UNSW Health are pleased to offer subsidised Standard Mental Health First Aid refresher training to UNSW staff who have previously completed the standard course and are eligible for the refresher course.

    This course gives participants an opportunity to refresh the knowledge and skills learnt during the 12-hour Standard Mental Health First Aid Course. You will:

    • Gain an understanding of the latest research in the mental health field
    • Learn the 3 key actions for helping someone feeling suicidal
    • Work through complex mental health first aid interactions
    • Practice mental health first aid skills.

    Who can attend:

    Current UNSW staff who have completed the Standard MHFA course within the previous 3 years. You should have received an email from MHFA directly, letting you know that you are due a refresher and are eligible for the training. If you are unsure you should contact MHFA directly on mhfa@mhfa.com.au before booking.

    Accreditation:

    Those that completed the accreditation after completing the course last time will be able to renew their accreditation for a further three years. Those that did not will not be able to become accredited after this course but will receive a certificate of completion.

    Wednesday 4th August 

    9am to 1.30pm

    Cost:

    The training is available at a subsidised rate of $20pp which includes a 4th edition manual. 

    There are two payment options

    1. Payment by company credit card (or staff credit card to be refunded)

    2. Payment by Internal Journal Transfer. (Fund, Dept ID and Project are required and will be charged at month end).
