Star Gazing

Enjoy an evening under the stars with astronomer Paul Hill FRAS. Paul will guide you through the night sky with a range of telescopes to hunt down nebulae and star clusters, galaxies and planets in the uber dark skies of Found Outdoors, and maybe even see a shooting star or two.

You will also get a chance to handle meteorites and have your questions on all things space answered. And if the weather defeats us there will be spacey experiments and space suits! 

Paul Hill is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and a public outreach astronomer. He is part of the team that writes and presents the longest running space podcast Awesome Astronomy, has toured the country with his stage shows 'Journey into Space', 'To boldly go...far far away', and 'Searching for Hairy Stars in the Messy Kitchen of the Sun' as well as appearing on TV and radio. He has worked on a range of space projects from artists on a canal barge to the European Space Agency, via music festivals, science fairs and school classrooms.

There is a free car park in the woods and a compost loo.

Hot drinks are included in ticket price.

There is no age restriction on this event however children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
