Starfish Club Mahalia Barnes Wednesday 7 October 2026

Please note, due to the long weekend and club availability, Starfish will be on WEDNESDAY 7th of October.

Mahalia Barnes is a truly gifted soulful singer. Authentic and natural  with a deep musical pedigree.

We are thrilled, and It is fitting, for Mahalia  to feature some  songs from the Gospel repertoire including  Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Aretha Franklin and her namesake, the great Mahalia Jackson.

This will be one helluva night of live music.

Mahalia has performed nationally and internationally with her own band, and as a support for musical legends such as Bruce Springsteen, Mavis Staples, Tom Jones and Joe Bonamassa. 

For this  Starfish Performance she will be joined by the hugely gifted musicians Franco Raggatt on guitar, Shannon Stitt on piano and organ, Juanita Tippens and Prinnie Stevens on BV's as well as the Starfish Club bedrock rhythm section of Hamish Stuart drums and Jonathan Zwartz double bass.

Doors 6pm Music from 7pm
