STARGAZER: NAZA (2026)

At Matinee, we love Australian films.

But sometimes, at night, our eyes wander to the skies above.

Named after Albury's long-gone drive-in cinema, Stargazer is Sunday Matinee’s showcase of the wide world of cinema. Whether it’s gonzo grindhouse, obscure mumblecore, braindead comedy, or deeply moving art, we promise this: it’s worth seeing.

For our Stargazer debut, we are proud to present NAZA. This 80-minute masterpiece, shot at night from the dark rooftops of Tel Aviv, investigates the artificial intelligence and surveillance systems used by the Israeli Defence Force in their assaults on Gaza.

This is difficult viewing. That’s why we’ll do it together.
