Stargazing in Greenough
Event description
Join us underneath the star-studded Milky Way for an evening of stargazing at the Central Greenough Cafe on Friday 4th April 2025 from 5pm to 8:30pm. Enjoy food and drinks in the beautiful setting of the historic Greenough Settlement, alongside live music by Jessica Swift and cultural performances. Expand your knowledge about the universe by talking to expert astronomers, before taking part in a guided laser pointer tour of the night sky. Finish off the evening by exploring stars, planets and galaxies through telescopes.
Food and drinks can be purchased at the venue - no BYO. Please ensure you wear warm clothing and bring a torch, and you are welcome to bring your own camp chair or picnic blanket.
A free shuttle bus service will take you from the QEII Centre to the Central Greenough Cafe at 4:30pm and return to the QEII Centre at the conclusion of the event at 8:30pm. If you would like to utilise the shuttle bus service, please book a shuttle bus ticket for each passenger.
If you can no longer attend the event, please ensure you cancel your tickets within Humanitix so others don't miss out.
In case of bad weather, the event will be held inside the Cafe, with many informative presentations, demonstrations and games for the kids.
