Your 90 minute experience includes:
State-of-the-art telescope viewing: you may observe wonders such as the Moon’s craters and seas, Saturn’s rings, Jupiter and its moons, Mars, Venus, the Orion Nebula, star clusters, double & triple stars, and deep space objects such as galaxies. Even shooting stars if you're lucky!
Laser-guided naked-eye astronomy: You may see the Milky Way, satellites, the International Space Station.
Fascinating constellation storytelling: Explore star signs, antique constellations, their history, and interpretations across cultures.

- Where do we meet?
The star gazing will take place at Dairy Farmers Hill lookout.
Parking available at Dairy Farmers Hill.
- Are there public toilets?
Nearest toilet facilities are on the Events Terrace near the Village Centre. You can walk or drive from Dairy Farmers Hill, but please watch your step in the dark.
- What if I need to cancel?
Cancellation of a Tour by the Guest
Bookings can be modified or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the experience is scheduled to start.
A new ticket or a credit can be issued up to 24 hours before the experience is scheduled to start.please email - arboretum.events@act.gov.au
Bookings cancelled by guests are strictly non-refundable.
A voucher valid for 3 years, transferable to other people as a Gift Card, will be issued.If a guest does not show up for the tour, Canberra Stargazing will still charge the full amount.
Canberra Stargazing is unable to refund, reschedule, or provide credit for a missed tour. - What if there is bad weather
Cancellation of a Tour by Canberra Stargazing
Stargazing tours are weather-dependent and may be cancelled in case of cloud cover meaning no visible stars.
In the event of cloudy skies, guests will be emailed at 1 PM on the day of the tour with two options:
1: Receive a gift voucher or credit valid for 3 years (transferable to other people) valid in Canberra, Blue Mountains or Jervis Bay.
2: Receive a refund (minus 6% non-refundable service fees).
If no email is sent at 1 PM, it means the stargazing tour is confirmed.
- What do I need to bring?
Bring a camp chair and your curiosity!
Wearing a warm jacket. Beanies, gloves, scarves are strongly recommended.
Make sure your phone has battery so you can use the flashlight to walk at night, or feel free to bring a torch.
