Start Up to Sustainable Business
Description
Start-up to Sustainable Business
Build a business you can live on and live with.
Got a business idea or just started out? How do you know if enough people will pay for what you offer? And how many customers will you need to cover your costs and pay yourself?
Join Sean for a free, two-hour workshop where you’ll work through those questions using your own business idea. We’ll look at what you need to get set up, how to test demand before you commit too much time or money, and what it takes to keep customers coming back.
What we’ll cover
Testing your idea and finding out who’s likely to pay for what you offer.
Getting the basics in place, including registrations, insurance and bookkeeping.
Working out what to charge and how many paying customers you’ll need to cover costs and pay yourself.
Planning a realistic working week, including the hours you’ll spend on admin, marketing and other work you can’t bill for.
Sean brings experience in business, banking and small business lending, managing businesses and starting and helping small business.
Bring your idea, even if it’s still a work in progress. You’ll use the worksheets to pull it into a one-page business summary and leave with one thing to test in the next fortnight. If you’d like help after the workshop, you can book a free one-to-one session with the Albany Business Centre.
presented by Sean Maguire, from the Albany Business Centre
This workshop is free for small business owners and brought to you through SBDC Regional services which is funded by the Government of Western Australia through the Small Business Development Corporation.
