State Funeral to honour the life and achievements of the Honourable Sir Eric James Neal AC CVO KStJ

A State Funeral for the Honourable Sir Eric James Neal AC CVO KStJ, 32nd Governor of South Australia, will take place at 11.00am on Wednesday 24 September 2025 at St Peter’s Cathedral, North Adelaide.

The service will honour the life and achievements of the highly respected businessman, who dedicated his life to serving the South Australian community through public service, business leadership and charity.

Doors will open at 10.00am and we kindly request that all guests be seated by 10.45am.

Limited seating will be available within the Cathedral.

Paid carparking will be available at the Adelaide Oval North Carpark (access from the west side of Pennington Terrace) and East Carpark (access via King William Road).

Following the service a wake will be held. Kindly register your interest to attend. This is subject to capacity.

Condolence books will be available on the day for attendees to leave messages for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has kindly requested for people and organisations wishing to honour Sir Eric Neal, to donate to the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and Virtual War Memorial Australia.
