Health care in Australia is usually safe and high quality, but there are some risks in health care and things you can do to keep yourself and your loved ones safe. This session will cover:

  • Your health care rights

  • National Quality and Safety Standards

  • Tips to prepare for a hospital stay

  • Common safety issues like infections, falls, medication problems and pressure injuries

  • How to prevent problems and raise concerns

This free online session is great for anyone who may need to go to hospital and the people who support them like carers, family members and support workers.
