Hazards
Stellar is an outdoor, night-time event in bushland. Please consider: Surface & gradients: compacted and loose gravel paths, and some steep gradients in parts of the park may be challenging for mobility devices. McClelland Gallery Distance from bus stop: if arriving by bus, note the ~15-minute walk from McClelland Drive to the entrance. McClelland Gallery Lighting & wayfinding: evening lighting is present but can be low in places—bring a small torch if needed. Weather & heat/cold: conditions can change; extreme weather may affect operations. McClelland Gallery Natural environment: snakes and bull ants are occasionally seen—please read signs and stick to paths and alert staff if you see wildlife.
Toilet location
An accessible toilet and change room are located inside the gallery, opposite the Design Store (signposted from the entry). Additional portable toilets will be positioned near the amphitheatre and food vendors for shorter travel distances.
Accessible parking
There are three accessible (disabled) parking bays in the on-site car park. Drop-off near the gallery entrance is welcomed before parking if closer access is required. Please display a valid Australian Disability Parking (ADP) permit when using accessible bays. Note the car park surface is gravel. Please reach out for assistance with any accessibility needs.
Quiet Space
We can direct you to low-stimulus quiet space options both indoors (near the entry) and outdoors away from speakers. You’re welcome to take breaks and re-enter—just speak with staff or volunteers for directions at any time.
Closed Captions (CC)
Closed captions are available for screenings on our second screen. Please ask one of our friendly volunteers on arrival to ensure you’re seated in an area with optimal visibility for captions.
Breastfeeding & Change Facilities
For those with young bubs in tow, breastfeeding is welcome anywhere at Stellar. Baby-change facilities are also available inside the gallery. Please ask staff for the closest option.
Companion Cards
We accept Companion Cards. A complimentary companion ticket is available for Companion Card holders—select the Companion Card option by typing CC in the Access Code at checkout which will reveal a new ticketing option (or contact us if you need help). Please present your card at entry.
