Young STEM & Leadership Holiday Camp
Description
The Young STEM & Leadership Holiday Camp is an exciting free 3-day school holiday program delivered by the Australian School of Entrepreneurship and You Belong. Over the three days participants will build their confidence, leadership and creativity to be future-ready.
Participants will explore business, entrepreneurship and career pathways, connect with inspiring industry professionals and take part in hands-on activities focused on innovation and problem-solving. Working in teams, participants will tackle a real-world community challenge, develop an innovative solution and pitch their idea in a Shark Tank-style challenge.
The program will also include a behind-the-scenes visit to Wellcamp Airport, where participants will discover business, technology and innovation in action.
With the generous support of You Belong and the Australian Government, Department of Industry, Science and Resources, this program is completely free.

THE SCHEDULE
Day 1: Delivered by the Australian School of Entrepreneurship
Explore exciting STEM career opportunities
Hear from inspiring industry professionals
Take part in hands on STEM workshops and interactive activities
Day 2: Delivered by the Australian School of Entrepreneurship
Work in teams to identify a real community challenge
Design an innovative STEM based solution
Develop your teamwork, creativity and problem solving skills
Present your idea in a Shark Tank style pitch to a panel of judges
Day 3: Delivered by You Belong
Visit Wellcamp Airport and go behind the scenes to explore STEM in action
Take part in a 2-hour guided tour of Wellcamp Airport, starting at 10:00am
Discover the technology, innovation and STEM careers that support the airport and aviation industry
Finish the tour with morning tea at the on-site café

Who is this for?
This program is for students from refugee backgrounds in Years 9, 10 and 11 who are interested in business, entrepreneurship, innovation and exploring future career opportunities.
