STEM Starters: Vision and Light Day
Event description
STEM Starters at Columbia University hosts a free workshop of experiment stations for local kids and their families in West Harlem. Come explore the world of vision and light with graduate students: interactive science activities will include optical illusions, color perception, refraction, lenses, microscopy and more!
Content is geared toward a middle-school level science background, but all ages are welcome! Registration is free. Parents/Guardians are required to stay for the event. Please only register for 1 ticket per child, parents/guardians do not need a ticket. Attendees will rotate at their own paces between activity stations and talk with grad student scientists as they learn.
