Fostering Biodiversity: A Guided Walk with Native Plant Expert Chris Cheetham
Event description
Fostering Biodiversity: A Guided Walk in our Native Pollinator Garden with Native Plant Expert Chris Cheetham
Step into the vibrant world of biodiversity with Chris Cheetham, a devoted native plant enthusiast and educator, at the Hawkesbury EarthCare Centre Family Fun Day on Saturday, 18 January 2025.Â
From 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, Chris will lead a fascinating walking tour through our Native Pollinator Garden, sharing his deep knowledge of native plants and their critical role in supporting all creatures, from insects to birds and beyond.Â
As a passionate advocate for building biodiversity and a dedicated volunteer at the Hawkesbury Community Nursery, Chris will inspire you with practical insights on creating thriving ecosystems in your own backyard.Â
Don’t miss this chance to connect with nature, learn about the intricate relationships in our environment, and discover how native plants can foster a biodiverse and balanced world.
You may notice we have lost some plants due to the extreme heat late last year. We hope some of you might consider contributing to our 'Adopt-a-Plant' programme, where you purchase a plant, plant it and come occasionally to care for your plant. Alternatively, we can care for your donated plant.
Register ahead of time and find Chris at our Indigenous Edible Food Forest.Â
And look what else is on offer on the day.
