STEP NSW Lunch and Learn | Wednesday 15 October 2025
Event description
STEP NSW Branch invites you to a seminar with Michael Green SC, Barrister, Level 22 Chambers.
Topic: Digital Oracles and Ancient Duties: The Sacred Art of Legal Research in Silicon's Shadow
We stand at a threshold. Behind us, centuries of legal tradition built on careful scholarship and hard-won expertise. Ahead, a digital frontier where artificial minds offer to decode the mysteries of case law with superhuman speed.
Michael Green SC, the founder of BarNet JADE, guides us through this liminal space where technology meets jurisprudence. Can silicon truly comprehend the human complexities embedded in our trust and estate law? What happens to professional responsibility when our research assistant never sleeps, never forgets—but may not truly understand?
This is more than a tutorial on new tools; it's an examination of our evolving relationship with knowledge itself, and our eternal obligation to serve justice faithfully in an age of artificial wisdom.
DATE: Wednesday 15 October 2025
TIME: 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm AEDT
