STEP Victoria - Tasmania Branch invites you to a seminar with David Sanders TEP, Victorian Bar.  

Topic: Promissory Estoppel – When will the Courts ensure a promise is a promise?

Every promise matters, but some matter more than others…

David will discuss the current state of promissory estoppel law, including recent and leading cases, the necessary elements, the discretion of the Court. He will also touch on common errors, why they matter and what to do about them.

SPEAKER | David Sanders TEP

David has a strong practice in the Testators’ Family Maintenance, Trusts, Equity and Probate jurisdictions. Before coming to the Law and the Bar he had a significant professional background in information technology design, development, consulting and project management.

David has a significant advice practice and provides nuanced and strategic advice to his clients.

Whenever possible, David seeks out cost-effective and flexible alternatives to conventional litigation through the Courts.

David is:

  • a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP);

  • is on the Doyles Guide list of Leading Wills & Estates Litigation Barristers; and

  • is a fully accredited mediator and arbitrator and regularly mediates disputes in these areas.
