Steph Russell and her all-star 10 piece band present new original music from Steph's upcoming album 'All The In Betweens' at Church Street Studios on Sunday 29th November.

Newcastle-born vocalist/pianist, composer and bandleader, Steph Russell's music mercurially blends prog-jazz, folk, neo-soul and improvisational influences. Tethered to the piano since she was just old enough to reach the stool, songwriting remains the golden thread steadily stitched through Steph’s capricious life. Her music is driven by a deep fascination with nuanced, allegorical storytelling, and with- much like a red paired with the right brie- the way a good lyric can land when paired with the right harmony. She draws inspiration from artists as varied as Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, Madison Cunningham, Ben Folds, Coldplay, Esperanza Spalding and Tigran Hamasyan.

Steph’s live performances are dynamic and self-deprecating. An evening in her (slightly mental, definitely eccentric) aural enclave alters your orderly paradigm; leaving you both introspectively and universally undone.
