Stick and Paste at SHIFT: Urban Art Takeover

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join members of The Slapcity Collective in a one-off sticker and pasteup workshop at Canterbury Museum as part of Shift: Urban Art Takeover.

Surrounded by some of the best urban art in Aotearoa (New Zealand) as inspiration, participants will learn about the history of sticker and pasteup art as one of the many urban art forms before having a go making their own – no equipment, experience (or artistic talent!) needed.

You will get the chance create your own artwork, which could range from mass produced icons, character collaborations to giant pasteups and everything in between - we have all you need. There will also be a chance to add your own work to the walls of SHIFT: Urban Art Takeover - a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Your ticket gives you access to this incredible 3-hour workshop and a ticket to explore SHIFT: Urban Art Takeover at your leisure (valued at $25.00).

The Slapcity Collective is a group of like-minded, but diverse individuals with the same aim: to work collaboratively and push sticker and pasteups as a legitimate artistic medium here in Aotearoa and abroad.
