AUSC presents: Still We Sing
Event description
Still We Sing 🎶
Songs of perseverance, healing, and hope in the face of silence 🕊️
In a world often marked by struggle and uncertainty, music becomes both refuge and response. Still We Sing brings together choral pieces that reflect on the resilience, healing, and hope needed in times of struggle.
From Dale Trumbore’s In the Middle, a reflection on finding strength in difficult seasons, to the gentle lullaby Hine e Hine arranged by David Hamilton, these pieces remind us of comfort and care. That comfort gives way to deeper reflection in Pepper Choplin’s How Long?, which voices urgent questions of justice and endurance, while Frank Ticheli’s Earth Song and Eric Whitacre’s Cloudburst highlight our connection to the natural world and the renewal it brings.
Together, these works affirm the power of music to carry us through hardship and into light 🤍🤍
