This is your chance to hear the sound of Detroit and Moscow's underground electronic scenes.

Boundary’s first showcase for 2023 will be headlined by the inimitable Sherard Ingram - aka DJ Stingray. A pillar of Detroit electro and techno and taught to DJ by close friend Moodymann in the 1980s, Ingram’s work both as a solo artist and in collaborations with experimental techno pioneers Drexciya has come to define the dark electro genre. 

“With his recent releases coming from an enviable smattering of crucial labels both genre-centric and experimental, Ingram is overhauling the very premise of the Detroit legacy he had a hand in writing, and on which others comfortably sit.”

Graduating from playing biker bars to Dekmantel, Ingram will be playing Sideway alongside the best electronic artists Canberra has to offer. Tickets are limited and will sell out.

What is the sound of Russia's underground?  We’re excited to be presenting the debut Canberra performance of a fixture of St Petersburg & Moscow's experimental music scene - Wave Resistance. 

Russian PhD physicist Theo Kovalev produces music at the pinnacle of the Russian electronic movement, performing at Moscow's Noiseroom as well as inside Soviet-era bridges and abandoned spaces across the country.

Industrial techno meets rhythmic IDM in a first-time performance for Australia, a live hardware set sure to expose you to sounds of an unexplored landscape. Sit, stand, or dance - the choice is yours for this performance.

Wave Resistance and DJ Stingray will be playing alongside Sideway favourite Genie, who we are PROUDLY booking once again following stellar sets at both the Infinity and Worm stage of Infinity Worm - Genie, playing b2b with Church/Public Service fave Laurence Hughes as 1800trix. Precisely what to expect is unknown.

Boundary respects and acknowledges the Ngunnawal, Ngunawal, and Ngambri people, the traditional custodians of the land where we operate and where this event will be held. Sovereignty was never ceded.
