Building on place assets
Event description
Join us for an interactive and practical session to learn more about making the most of the assets in places and precincts, including:
- Why placemaking is so relevant and important for local governments
- Turning latent assets into opportunities
- Reducing risks and saving money
- Looking at buildings and public spaces through different eyes
- How it's a team sport - all local government staff can make contributions (big or small)
- Funding and grant opportunities, including the Streets Alive grants
WHEN: 9.30am - 11.00am Wednesday 13 November 2024
WHERE: Stirling Leisure – Mirrabooka - 38 Ashbury Cres, Mirrabooka WA 6061. Room: Multicultural rooms 2 and 3
The first 30 minutes (approximately) will explain some of the key ideas and important tips, then we'll get outside to talk about how to put the ideas into action. Please bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and some water.
