These sessions will provide a glimpse of the creative and fulfilling experience that awaits you in our upcoming program. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore your creativity and learn new skills!
We will also show you how to do simple machine and hand repairs such as sew hems and seams, sew on buttons.
Discarded clothing sent to rubbish is a big waste disposal problem. Recycling of clothes and fabrics reduces waste, and reduces the carbon emissions from manufacturing new materials. It's a way that all of us can take part in tackling climate change.
These workshops are a joint project of Burwood Council and Climate Action Burwood Canada Bay (CABCB) funded by Burwood RSL through the ClubGRANTS program. CABCB is a not-for-profit local volunteer community group advocating an evidence-based approach to climate change.
