This hands-on workshop offers an immersive experience into creating your own piece of art using natural fibres and organic ceramic/pottery bases. In this full day workshop, you will learn the age old basketry technique to stitch or coil with natural fibres. An abundance of natural fibres is supplied, prepped and ready to go on the day for you. We will discuss fibre suitability, preparation, storage and seasonal availability of natural fibres. An opportunity to explore your garden or surrounding areas of useful fibres to weave with. Manmade items can be up-cycled/recycled wonderfully in this art form also.
