Stitchin' Up: Sewing Repair Workshop

Show your clothes some love and join us at this repair workshop as part of the Repair Festival Aotearoa 2024. Come along to learn how to patch a hole, re-stitch a seam, hem your pants, or sew up old teddy with the guidance of our master seamstress Sandy on one of our sewing machines. We can also guide you through hand sewing repairs or if you don't have an item to fix, we'll have a simple project for you to make if you'd like to learn sewing basics. 

At Waiuku Zero Waste, we love repair, and the best way to keep textiles out of landfill is proper care and mending to keep your clothes looking their best!

This workshop is suited to those 16+ and takes place at night.This event is entry by registration and we have a limited number of spaces for sewing machines. Please follow the link below to register. Koha please.
