As you know, the Government’s JobKeeper payment is by far the largest single COVID-19 stimulus measure designed to help businesses survive and keep their staff employed. Despite the large amounts of information available, the eligibility rules are surprisingly complex. As a result, there is a lot of confusion and questions about the practical process and eligibility.
In a session specifically for the Stone & Chalk community, William Buck’s Jack Qi and Alex Zinzopoulos will present a practical and accessible webinar intended to leverage off many conversations with startups to guide you through the traps and opportunities with JobKeeper, as well as answering the most commonly asked questions from startups including:
- A walk through the registration and claim process
- How to measure the decline in revenue – the importance of a supportable forecast, cash vs accruals and which periods to test
- Complexities when a startup consists of multiple companies in a group
- Timing of JobKeeper payments and its impact on cash flow
- Which employees are eligible
