Stories from the Bar - Dentons x Pride in Law Panel Event
Event description
Join Dentons and the NSW Chapter of Pride in Law for “Stories from the Bar”, an inspiring panel event held in recognition of International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).
This engaging evening will bring together prominent LGBTIQA+ voices from across the legal profession — including barristers, corporate leaders, and emerging solicitors — to share their stories, experiences, and insights from navigating careers in law and corporate environments.
Through open and honest conversations, the panel will explore the challenges, triumphs, and personal journeys of LGBTQIA+ professionals in a traditionally conservative industry. This is an opportunity to hear firsthand accounts of resilience, identity, and the importance of visibility and inclusion within the legal landscape.
Our esteemed panel will include:
- Kate Wickett – CEO of City Recital Hall and former CEO of Sydney WorldPride, Kate brings decades of leadership across sectors and a lifelong commitment to LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
- Ben Allen – Award-winning litigation partner at Dentons with deep expertise in cyber, compliance, and investigations, and recognised as “Litigator of the Year” in 2024.
- Hannah Cohley – A barrister at Two Wentworth specialising in insurance and commercial litigation, with a decade of experience advising insurers and corporates across complex sectors.
