Event description

St George’s Church Magill is proud to be the first Anglican Church consecrated in South Australia. Its churchyard, where the first burial took place on 16th February 1848, holds many fascinating stories. The first burial was of Caroline Phillippa Augusta Short, just one year old.
Join Fay Young as she uncovers the fascinating histories of prominent figures from South Australia’s early days, including the first Anglican bishop of Adelaide, the second Premier of South Australia, and the curator of the South Australian Institute Museum.
