    Event description

After many sell-out Sydney events and recently launching in Noosa and Northern Rivers, we're delighted to announce that Gold Coast residents, Karen Chaston & Beth Elaine Haynes, are helping us bring 'Stories that Stir' to this slice of paradise.

The Stories that Stir event concept, was created to break down barriers, stir conversation and inspire positive change.

Audience members rave about how good it feels to spend a lovely evening, listening to other people's funny, moving, and inspiring stories and how connected to humanity the event makes them feel.

Now you have the opportunity to experience the magic for yourself.

At Gold Coast's inaugural event, you'll hear from the following six inspiring people, who will be sharing their 10-minute raw and personal stories, linked to the theme TRANSFORMATION.

TOMBOY TO BEAUTY QUEEN - Suzi Dent

For over 30 years Suzi covered her body in baggy clothes to hide her figure, as she felt safer moving through life that way.

At 55 years young, she listened to the whispers the universe was sending her and said YES to the most uncomfortable and out-of-left-field thing she had ever done. Suzi transformed her life, from a lifelong tomboy with low self-esteem to an international beauty queen.

In doing so, she completely changed her life.

DOES HE EVEN SPEAK? – Miroslav Petrovic

Growing up in Australia as a refugee from war-torn Yugoslavia, Miroslav’s story is one of overcoming introversion, loneliness, and stuttering.

He embraced the fear of risking his identity over and over again to create the connection he was so deeply yearning for.

    I NEARLY DIED… TWICE - Suzie Cheel

At the age of 16, Suzie survived being hit by a car, having brain surgery, and being in a coma for a week.

Suzie’s second Near-Death Experience was 12 years ago, when she had a total kidney collapse and had the choice of life, death or dialysis.

The message she received while in a dialysis chair led to her mission today, to #stand4love and show people how they can truly embrace the love that they are.

OWNING YOUR STORY - Christine Innes

Ever wondered how a pen could change your life?

The pen theory is about learning how to let go of the past and be present in the now to create your future.

Learn the power of letting go to create your new reality.

CROSSING THE LINE - Des Walsh
Des Walsh had a great job, with great benefits, managing a multi-million-dollar project.

On the surface, all was going well. Behind the scenes forces were at work that challenged Des to manage the project in a way that would keep his principles intact.

For years, he had prided himself on his ability to handle such complex challenges. This time was different, and his career was on the line.

    LOVING HER – Monica Rosenfeld

In September 2022, 48 year old Monica, went on a retreat in Bali, and much to her surprise, she fell in love with a woman, for the first time in her life.

This experience opened up a whole new world for her, and has resulted in surprising and unexpected consequences.
