STORM SURVIVOR; BE UNBROKEN: Peer-Led Support Groups for Those Affected by Hurricane Helene

Storm Survivor - Be Unbroken: Peer-Led Support Group for Those Affected by Hurricane Helene is a supportive community initiative designed to provide a safe space for individuals impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. 

Through a combination of:

• peer support, 
• shared experiences, and 
• group-based recovery techniques

Storm Survivor fosters:

• resilience, 
• connection, and 
• mutual encouragement among participants. 

The group, facilitated by Beacon Institute, focuses on mental health and emotional healing. It helps members navigate the long-term effects of the hurricane and rebuild their lives together. 

This peer-led approach enables participants to share their journeys, discover coping strategies, and empower one another in the face of shared adversity.

This FREE support group meets every Friday for 12 weeks, starting November 15th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
