After a sensational keynote at Tropical Innovation Festival, we are stoked to welcome Joel McKerrow back to Cairns to share with our community for a special deep dive workshop into STORY.

This session is a deep-dive into STORY. STORY being not just a form of entertainment, but THE force that drives ALL human behaviour. Every single choice and decision we make is governed by the story we are telling ourselves as we make that choice. It is the Operating System (OS) of the brain. Our lives rise and fall on the basis of the stories we tell. We tell our stories and then our stories become us, both as individuals and as organisations. Your organisation will rise and fall on the basis of the stories told about it and within it.

Therefore, as an entrepreneur or leader, every problem you face is actually a STORY problem. Are you wanting to communicate vision, motivate your team, pitch your start-up, connect with clients, boost your brand, enhance work culture, or increase customer engagement and sales? It is STORY that will allow you to do all this.

How crucial it is then, to recognise the shaping power of story & learn how to leverage that power. This is what we call narrative intelligence. It is all about being aware of the stories being told and learning how to tell the right stories, at the right time, in the right way.
