Story Play is all about exploring stories, songs and creative play in a fun new way.

Lily is one of our Everyday Heroes. She is a rescue greyhound who loves fashion and works to spread the word about special dogs in our community. Join us as her owner Emily reads Lily Longnose: The Fashion Star. This book is a wonderful tale of bravery and friendship. After the story there will be a chance to meet Lily and we will have pup crafts and activities.

Useful Information

  1. This event is for families.

  2. Please book one ticket for each child attending.

  3. Everyone is welcome. Physical and neurological diversity is beautiful. Please let us know if you are bringing a carer, and how we can help with sensory accommodations.

  4. If you are sick please cancel your ticket.

  5. Caregivers must remain with their children.

Sensory Information

Sounds – People may be chatting and talking before and after.

Lighting – We will have natural light from the windows as well as our overhead lights.

Our space - We will be sitting on the ground for stories and at children’s tables for the activities.

Lily Longnose – We will have a dog in the library. We will need to use our quiet voices and gentle hands so we don’t scare her.
