Event description

Gather round for an intimate evening of songs and stories, hosted in one of the Sunshine Coast hinterland’s most iconic venues.

Storytella Fellas brings together four local songwriters – Kumradu, Christopher John Prior, Angus Hall and Sam Hodgkins – for a night of music that feels more like sitting around a campfire than a gig. We’ll be playing in the round – taking turns, trading tales, and jumping in on each other’s songs along the way.

It’s all original music, stripped back and close up – the kind of night where you get to really hear the stories behind the songs.

Tickets are $20 online, or $25 at the door.

The fellas:

Kumradu

A local larrikin that has his heart set in the root of blues and folk music. His songs share the depths of the human experience from the darkness to light, love and hate and a flare of silly rapscallioness.

Christopher John Prior

A multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter based on the Sunshine Coast Queensland, who has a unique sound both vocally and through melodic arrangements. Wearing his heart on his sleeve, his original work ranges from stories of love and loss through to thoughts and questions on the depths of our existence.

Angus Hall

Originally having his heart set on being a drummer, Sunny Coast local Angus Hall pulled a Dave Grohl during the breakup of a band and started writing and recording his own songs. His solo music comprises songs that never found a home in his other projects, and focuses on road trips, getting through his twenties, and the comforts of everyday life.

Sam Hodgkins

A household name at Naamba Folk Club and literally in his own house, Sam is developing a craft of finding humanity in small memories and ordinary moments.
