Storytelling Session with Jon Doust

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join us for an intimate evening of food, beverage and storytelling with local Albany author, Jon Doust.

Story telling is in his blood. His Grandfather was one, a number of his uncles were and a few of his aunties.

In 2020 Jon Doust released his latest novel and events were planned but none took place. This Tea House Books visit will be his first dedicated book chat since he stopped wearing hemp shirts.

Jon will join us for a chat, a rant about art, that might include a tall and short tale or two and he might even reveal how he managed to weave some of his life into three novels, a trilogy titled “One Boy’s Journey to Man.”

Jon first adult novel, Boy on a Wire (Fremantle Press, 2009), was long listed for the 2010 Miles Franklin. His second adult novel, To the Highlands, (Fremantle Press 2012) was critically acclaimed. His third, Return Ticket (Fremantle Press 2020) has also received excellent reviews.

Doors open at 5:45pm.

Tickets are free with a question for the author, but strictly limited.

If you secure a ticket but are unable to attend please send a message to Sumer at 0499 444 542.
