10am-10:30am Storytime with Kate Foulds (local author, Grumps and the Green Fishing Rod), includes reading and meeting the real Grumps! Kate Foulds grew up on the family farm in Musk before becoming a newspaper journalist. Her debut book, Grumps and the Green Fishing Rod, was published in 2025. Kate’s short fiction appears in two anthologies: Mother – Memories, Moments & Stories (Bendigo Writers Festival 2020) and Confidence (Minds Shine Bright 2022). |
10:45am-11:30am Storytime with Claire Clifton (local author, The World Needs Hippopotamus Magic) Claire Clifton is an abstract artist and storyteller creating magical tales with heart and courage at their core. Inspired by a childhood filled with Enid Blyton, her stories spark imagination and nurture the belief that dreams really can come true. |
11:45pm-12:30pm Storytime with Julie Murphy (Dog Beach), includes reading books and craft activity Julie Murphy is a Melbourne-based children’s author and former zoologist and zookeeper who writes picture books inspired by her love of animals and nature. Her 22 books – in fiction, nonfiction and verse – encourage imagination, empathy and a deep connection to the natural world. |
