Storytime - Let’s Build a Rain Garden
Event description
Join author Sally Wenczel for a reading of Let’s Build a Rain Garden! Let’s Build a Rain Garden leads children into Great Lakes Region ecology through verse. They'll get a close up look at the fun creatures and native plants that thrive inside a rain garden, while learning the more high-level terms STORMWATER and WATERSHED. The book is written for children, however adults will also enjoy taking notes on the basic steps for building a rain garden. Be a part of the solution to stop the pollution. It all begins with YOU!
Tickets: $5 per/kid for children 3 and up. Family Bundle for $15. Caregivers are free, children under 2 are free.
The farm is full of stories to explore! We will be gathering with authors and other friends on the farm for a picture-book story time interspersed with activities and games. We'll read a different book and explore different themes each time. After we read and play, we'll take a short walk on the farm to apply what we've learned and experience our story in real life! This program is intended for young readers aged 3-6 and an accompanying caregiver.
