WE ENCOURAGE MIXED GENDER BOOKINGS. IF YOU CAN'T FIND A HOUSEMATE/FRIEND/MATCH/WORKMATE/HOT NEIGHBOUR TO BRING ALONG, PLEASE JOIN THE WAITLIST UNDER THE APPROPRIATE TICKET TYPE.*

Sick of swiping? Come along to speed dating at Noisy Ritual! You'll go on 14 x 5 min dates with time between to chat to anyone you like. You can expect to be one of 40-90 singles, most of whom have come with friends to keep it sweet and casual.

We'll have heaps of conversation cards with all the most important first date Qs like "Is Pedro Pascal your daddy too?" and "Which Disney villain would you hook up with?" as well as a competition to submit your own, where you can win a bottle of Noisy Ritual wine!

Pricing is tiered $0-30 and this one's for straight/straight-ish people. No age policy but to give you a guide most attendees are between 25 and 35. Non monog and polyam babes are welcome!

$1 from every ticket sold goes to mutual aid funds with priority given to BIPoC, queer and trans folks.

FAQs

*So wait, I have to bring a date in order to get a date?

If you're able to, we're just asking you to bring a friend of a different gender. Text your winning wingman, housemate, hottest match, work bestie, cute neighbour, cousin or least problematic ex and tell them they’re needed!

By having everyone come with friends we find it’s a much better atmosphere - a lot less school prom and a lot more flirty bar. It also helps us throw bigger events which means more chances for you to meet someone you spark with.

If you’ve tried your darndest but can't find a wingperson, hit ‘join waitlist’ next to your ticket type and we’ll shoot you an email if we can squeeze you in. If you're tossing up other plans, you can DM us and we can let you know how it's looking.

Is there an age range?

We recommend this event for ages 20 - 40. Most attendees sit between 25 & 35.

Is it loud?

Yes, our events are unfortunately often quite loud. That said, this one won't have any DJs and Noisy Ritual does have good sound absorption so if you're concerned about noise levels this may be a better option for you than our usual events at Dr Morse. Please note you are also always welcome to ask the host or DJs at our events to turn down the music.

Will I date everyone?

Not usually, no. There will be between 40 and 90 people, however we'll only sit you down with 14-15 people. There'll be lots of time during the break and after the event for you to chat to whoever you like though. Everyone’s there to meet new people, so don’t be shy about saying hello to a stranger!

I'm bi/queer, will I also get to date people of my own gender?

Unfortunately not at this one, but you can always talk to people in the break and put their name on your card or take the initiative and do an ig or number swap on the night. We also run queer events just as regularly so please check out our profile!

What if I don't identify as a man or woman?

People at this event are split into 'men' and 'women'. We understand that not everyone at the event might identify this way and we absolutely welcome all genders, so we recommend offering your pronouns or writing them on your name tag if they differ from he/him or she/her. We also run queer events which are better set up to accommodate a wide range of genders and sexualities.

Do I get free drinks just for showing up?

No, sorry! We prioritise as-affordable-as-possible ticket pricing and fair pay over giving attendees free drinks, having not raised our ticket prices since people still used facebook for reasons other than talking to their auntie.

How much privacy will we have?

We'll have the exclusive use of the venue - no lurkers, only ticket holders!

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Name changes on the door are fine (so long as the gender on each ticket remains the same) but if you can let us know in advance it's always appreciated as we make cute handwritten name stickers for everyone.

What's the refund policy?

To get a refund, you must let us know at least 7 days prior to the event date. Mixed gender groups can transfer their tickets to the following month's event, but they must be transferred as a group and not split up. You can do this once only (no transfers or refunds after the first transfer) and you must let us know that you won't be attending at least 4 hours prior to event start time. If you are experiencing symptoms or your pre-event RAT comes up positive, let us know at any point prior to the event start time and we will transfer your tickets to a later date at no extra cost. The nature of the event means we're heavily reliant on numbers, so please be conscious of this and give us as much notice as possible so we have time to replace you. We won't be able to offer you a refund or transfer if you are a no-show/don't contact us until after the event has started.
