Event description
Join us on Thursday 10 April at 7.30pm AEST for our next Straight to the People public online event.
Straight to the People is a series of online discussions which brings federal candidates in the 2025 election directly to the people.
Our candidates to be featured are Sen. Malcolm Roberts, Jennifer Game, and Jim Willmott. Our host is Joel Jammal.
A little about our Candidate panellists;
Senator Malcolm Roberts - Senate candidate for Queensland, Pauline Hanson One Nation - Malcolm is a family man and has a background in engineering, mining, business leadership, and has a keen interest in economics; he is also passionate about climate change data and facts.
After graduationg from the University of Queensland with honours as an engineer, he decided to get practical experience working as a coalface miner—mainly underground—for three years around Australia. Malcolm also holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Malcolm has earned the respect of informed people around the world for his investigation of claimed global warming and climate change where he analysed the measured data and then exposed the corruption. His disappointment with Liberal-Labor-Nationals-Greens politicians, unable to listen, refusing to face the facts and lacking care for our country led to his decision to join Pauline Hanson in standing for the Senate. He is a member of One Nation and has been a Senator for Queensland since 2019. He also served in the Senate from 2016 to 2017.
Jennifer Game - Senate candidate in South Australia, Pauline Hanson One Nation - Jennifer is a dedicated advocate for Australian sovereignty, economic reform and tax fairness. With a background in science, law, and public policy, Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the fight for a fairer tax system, stronger national security and real opportunities for Australian workers. Jennifer studied climate sciences, meteorology, geology, and biology at the University of Melbourne, graduating with Honours in Science. Her distinguished career includes roles as the first Registrar at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra and later at the National Maritime Museum in Sydney. She also completed a tax law degree while working full-time and raising her family as a single parent. With nearly 20 years of experience at the Australian Tax Office (ATO), Jennifer saw firsthand how foreign-owned multinational corporations manipulate the tax system to avoid paying their fair share. Since 2017, Jennifer has worked alongside Senator Pauline Hanson, providing policy advice, research and legislative support. She has played a key role in developing major policy initiatives and shaping One Nation’s stance on tax reform, economic stability, and national security. Committed to putting South Australians first, Jennifer is focused on strengthening Australia’s manufacturing, supporting local jobs and securing energy independence. She believes that Australian workers, retirees and families deserve a government that prioritises their interests over foreign corporations and globalist agendas.
Jim Willmott - Senate candidate in Queensland, Libertarian - Jim is a long-term defender of the rights of rural regional communities. Born in Perth, Western Australia Jim’s family moved to regional Queensland in the mid 70’s and spent his early years on the family’s small crops and beef cattle farm west of Gympie. His love of primary production led to him attending the University of Queensland, Gatton Campus where he studied Applied Science in Agriculture specialising in Agronomy with Distinction. After leaving tertiary studies Jim started an extensive and distinguished public service career and this is where he accumulated an extensive practical experience in protecting agriculture and the environment from the revengers of invasive species and disease. Following his success Jim moved to Brisbane as a Senior Policy Officer where he worked on complex whole of government policies designed to improve the stewardship of all State-owned land in Queensland. Jim’s love of natural resource management also saw him provide executive support to Ministers and the Landcare and Catchment Management Council in developing a Statewide Landcare Support Strategy. He was also a founding member in creating the Public Service “Leadership Lounge” which is still in operation to this day.
Inspired by his love and passion for rural Queensland, Jim has led many successful initiatives protecting the rights of landowners and their properties and calling for more essential services to rural and regional communities. Jim now leads Property Rights Australia, a dynamic grass roots organisation that supports local communities whose property rights are under threat and their voices are not being heard.
A little about our Aligned Council of Australia group panellists;
Port Hedland Motion - the group was created to inform people about Town of Port Hedland's Council Motion to suspend Pfizer and Moderna's COVID-19 vaccines due to DNA contamination. Since then it has supported multiple individuals and Councillors around Australia to provide strategic information about how to prepare for a successul Motion in their own Councils.
Let's Think Renewables - is a collection of concerned Australians united against the Government rollout of industrialised renewables on regional and rural communities. Throughout Australia about 126 community action groups are actively resisting industrial wind, solar and transmission projects in their communities. Let's Think Renewables are critical of the government's handling of the transition to clean energy. The environmental and social impacts are significant, with the government not fully considered the environmental repercussions and overlooking the impacts on families and rural communities.
Our host Joel Jammal - Joel is Head of Turning Point Australia, Independent Journalist, Commentator & host of The Ark Podcast.
