Event description

Join us on Tuesday 15 April at 7.30pm AEST for our next Straight to the People public online event.

Straight to the People is a series of online discussions which brings federal candidates in the 2025 election directly to the people.

Our candidates to be featured are Suellen Wrightson, Michael O'Neil, and Christopher Brohier. Our host is Charles Kovess

A little about our Candidate panellists;

Suellen Wrightson (House of Representatives, Hunter NSW) is the party leader of Trumpet of Patriots and a candidate contesting the seat of HUNTER in NSW.

Suellen has been involved in politics for over a decade and was founding member of the Palmer United Party that evolved into the United Australia Party. Suellen has held various party positions including as State and National director. She was appointed as chief of staff to Senator Ralph Babets in the federal parliament in 2022. She believes in freedom of speech, family values and opposes the tyrannical over-reach of Government in all its forms. She believes the policies her party presents to the Australian people will put Australians first.

Michael O'Neill (Senate Candidate NSW) - Michael is passionate about the rights of all Australians to have control over their own bodies, freedom of speech and parent’s rights. Michael has been involved in the natural health industry for 38 years. He has witnessed first-hand the effectiveness of disease prevention using lifestyle change and harmless natural remedies. Michael has also been in contact with innumerable cases where people have been seriously damaged by so-called conventional medical treatments. Michael is contesting a seat in the Senate to fight for the democratic right of ALL Australians to take back control of their own bodies.Michael wants to see a full, and unbiased, investigation into the claims of thousands of Australian families that their child has been severely and irreparably damaged by vaccines. He also wants to see a halt to media-inflamed hysteria over what used to be normal and non-lethal childhood diseases.
Michael is also concerned with the archaic attitude to Fluoridating drinking water in Australia. Japan, and 97% of Europe have now stopped this practice and have had no decline in oral health. “We need to take BACK control of our bodies," says Michael. “They are a gift from God and should never, in a free and democratic society, be subject to government compulsion, either by direct force or emotional coercion.”

Christopher Brohier (Senate Candidate SA) -
Christopher is a passionate advocate for key issues affecting Australian families, including cost of living pressures , religious freedom, and protecting children from harmful ideologies. “Families are in a cost-of-living crisis, and one of the biggest drivers is unaffordable electricity,” Mr Brohier said. “Family First will fight to bring back affordable, reliable energy for all Australians. Net zero policies are crippling our families and businesses, and it’s time to stand up for common-sense energy solutions.” Christopher brings a wealth of experience to his candidacy. He recently concluded a term as National Director of Policy for the Australian Christian Lobby, where he played a pivotal role in advocating for Christian values and religious freedom in public policy.

A little about our Aligned Council of Australia member groups who will be asking the questions;

Australian Vaccination Risks Network - Founded in 1994, the Australian Vaccination-risks Network (AVN) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing information and fostering discussion about vaccine safety and informed choice. The AVN advocates for transparency in vaccination policies and supports individuals in making educated health decisions. Through publications, events, and online platforms, the AVN continues to engage communities in critical conversations about public health and personal rights."

Flag on the Hill - Flag on the Hill Association (FotH), formed in 2023 to encourage collaboration and professionalisation of freedom aligned groups and individuals in SA. FotH has hosted two successful Free Media Summits and is a member organisation of the Aligned Council of Australia. FOTH is an entirely volunteer based group with various sub committees working on specific freedom aligned campaigns.
