Event description

Strange Behaviour are excited to bring you Winter Tropical, a party set to shoo away those winter blues and bring nothing but good vibes to the lush surroundings of Cuba Street Tavern’s fabulous courtyard on 🚨 12 July 🚨

We’ve pulled together some of our favourite DJs and fellow vinyl junkies for a session at Pōneke’s top new spot.

<VIBE CONTOLLERS>

Maximum Joy are Longboss & Scott Towers – two of Aotearoa’s finest diggers and DJs, whose parties at the likes of Golden Dawn & Laundry have become the stuff of legend. Longboss’ record label Strangelove Music is also a global favourite on the reissue front, while you may know Scott as a Chopper Reeds, sax man extraordinaire for Fat Freddy’s Drop. Expect un-Shazamable floor fillers all night long.

Moonlight Rendezvous are a collective and record label whose debut vinyl release has become a secret weapon with Aotearoa’s best DJs. Also known as JiveTurkey 45s, East Larry, Hollywood Highlife and Tommy Thomas bring all kinds of heat to the dancefloor – deep disco, low slung funk, blissful house and upfront boogie – we can’t wait to hear Moonlight Rendezvous work their magic.

Admin guy for Strange Behaviour, Dj B lo’s eclectic sets are always fresh and fun, blending underground classics with newly discovered gems. From lush Balearic infused party starters to gloriously deep house music for the late-night crowd, expect big vibes suited to any situation.

The needle drops 4pm and we’re running through to about midnight. There’s a limited capacity so first in best dressed – Early Birds go live Monday 30 June.

Strange Behaviour parties are a safe space for everyone. Party hard but respectively and always bring love to the dancefloor.
