Stranger No More Premiere
Description
'Stranger No More’ is a DIY ski film created from ski footage I gathered over the 2025-26 winter in Europe. The video celebrates the community and sense of belonging I found over the last 5 winters based in Austria, which transcends divisions between snow riding craft and genres, and has allowed me to enjoy and express myself on the snow unlike ever before.
The plan for the winter was to explore both in the backyard and all over the alps, leaving the door open to friends who wanted to join, seeing what we could create along the way. There were no dates and nothing pre planned, just a network of friends I’d made over the years and plenty of stoke for skiing and filming.
I edited the video myself, and the soundtrack is made by a dear friend Rory Johns. Rory and I grew up together here in Wanaka.
