Strategies for embracing mistakes - online

    This event has passed Register

    Event description

Gifted and 2E (twice exceptional) children often experience feelings of being weighed down by gifted stereotypes, anxiety around the possibility of failure and a desire for perfection.

Amanda, will provide parents with a range of strategies to help their children develop a curiosity focused growth mindset that values mistakes as opportunities for growth and learning, rather than as failures or sources of shame. By reframing the narrative about growth to one of embracing mistakes as part of the learning process, children can develop a more curious and compassionate approach to their own learning.

Throughout the presentation, Amanda will share with parents how she personalised a range of strategies to meet the unique needs of her own children and will provide parents with an opportunity to customise these for their own context.
