STRATEGY CLINIC
Resource Planning Support for NFP and Charity CEOs
There's often competing priorities, workplans, expectations and external headwinds that can make the CEO role feel very overwhelming.
CEO's and exec teams of small to medium organisations value a strategic sounding board and resource planning support, but few places can provide objective, inter-disciplinary advice and support.
However, Benefolk’s Strategy Clinic does just that and helps you:
- Prioritise or re-prioritise key actions;
- Learn about options available to support you in achieving your strategic priorities;
- Learn about the resources and services available through Benefolk;
- Look at delivery approaches and costings for your priorities; and
- Feel more organised and fully supported.
Benefolk has a simple mission, which is to support changemakers with the tools and support they need to achieve their desired impact, without burning out.
Who runs the Clinic?
The Strategy Clinic is run by our CEO/Founder Julia Keady, who leads the Benefolk Services and Concierge team. Julia has worked with hundreds of CEO's, listening in, and helping them explore the solutions available through insourcing/outsourcing to achieve the priorities for the year ahead. Julia knows all the great providers and solutions available in Australia, including the 100 pre-vetted business providers in the Benefolk community, and can recommend a highly customised and tailored response to suit your needs.
What’s included?
- An initial review of key strategy documents including your Strategic Plan (provide documents at least one week ahead of the session);
- A 90-minute private 1:1 consultation to discuss your key priorities;
- A written report (3 pages) with session summary and recommendations on options and costings (where requested) to support you and your team; and
- A follow up session to help you get started and focussed on your priority tasks.
Clinic Fee

- You are welcome to bring team / board members to the session (maximum 5 participants).
What other CEO's say about Clinic:
“This has been very useful, and I haven’t had a conversation like this for a long time. It will help guide my conversations with the board and chair, and useful to have it documented as well – thankyou.”
“Participating in the Strategy Clinic was a brilliant opportunity for our team to come together with an expert and get valuable insights, perspectives and advice on our strategy. It helped us validate key parts of our strategy, identify areas for further development and exploration, and recognise opportunities for bringing the strategy to life.”
“I came because I had nowhere else to go. Another CEO told me to book in with you because you’re like a CEO Whisperer and you get us.”
“Today has been great. Being able to talk things through is so important and so rare. I feel relief that I’ve had help to tick a few things off my list, and have confidence on how we’ll deliver on the strategic plan. Most of all, I feel supported and thankful.”
“This is fantastic! I’ve inherited a Strategic Plan that reads more like a to do list. I need lots of help at the moment, I’m in a new role and need to lead transformational change. Our funding model will significantly change in 2027, no more government grants, and we will need to charge fees for service.”
“This has been fabulous. I’ve now got reassurance on so many areas. Having someone to sense-check with has been great. Where we wandered to in the conversation helped remind me I am on the right path, ideas I want to follow up on, and highlighted some areas that I had put on backburner.”
Some of the areas we are helping other CEOs with include:
- Strategic Plan refresh / update;
- Diversification of funding and alternative income streams;
- Transformation projects, mergers and rebrands;
- Governance and board reviews and evaluations;
- Change management projects;
- Cybersecurity reviews;
- Diversity, equity and inclusion projects, Disability and Reconciliation Actions Plans;
- Impact/outcomes measurement and data strategies;
- Comms and marketing plans, media relations;
- Management training, supervision and leadership coaching; and,
- Workplace wellbeing strategies, and trauma prevention trainings.
