Strategy, Praxis and Revolutionary Horizons
Description
The last few decades have seen an incredible amount of energy spent responding to crises, documenting them, and developing important counter-narratives / theories. Nonetheless, whilst the complex interplay between contemporary issues has been increasingly theorised — e.g. through the lens of the poly-crisis and its structural causes — the responses necessary remain a topic of relative confusion, contention, and neglect.
These workshops focus on six areas of attention that merit more dialogue. These are: crises, capabilities, culture, commonalities, conditions, and coordination. Week by week, these focal areas will be explored and discussed alongside some of the key dilemmas that activists and organisers face in these contexts.
Week 1: Crises - understanding our movements.
Week 2: Capabilities - developing our praxis.
Week 3: Culture - (re)vitalising our movements.
Week 4: Commonalities - working with dissensus.
Week 5: Conditions - opening up possibility.
Week 6: Coordination - patterning our praxis.
