Strath Taieri - Let's Talk: Resilience and Mental Health
Description
Otago Rural Support Trust and Westpac New Zealand are proud to welcome Sir John Kirwan to the Strath Taieri for an inspiring conversation on mental health, resilience, and the importance of looking after ourselves and each other.
A Westpac Ambassador for over a decade, Sir John Kirwan (JK) has dedicated much of his life to helping New Zealanders feel more confident talking about mental health. While he’s known around the world as an All Black legend, it’s his honesty, vulnerability, and advocacy off the field that have made him one of Aotearoa’s most respected and influential voices.
About the Event
Join us for a free session in the Matarae Station Wool Shed where JK will share openly about his personal mental health journey - from navigating depression while performing at the highest level, to the tools, habits, and mindset shifts that support his wellbeing today. You’ll gain practical insights, relatable stories, and down‑to‑earth guidance you can apply in your own life, on farm, with your whānau, and in your community.
