Event description

THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT!

Join us for National Tree Day at Bressington Park, Homebush on Sunday 27 July, 2025! This hands-on community event celebrates Australia's incredible native flora while helping to green our local environment.

Plant native seedlings alongside fellow community members and learn about the vital role of native plants play in our ecosystem. Every seedling planted contributes to habitat restoration, stormwater management, and biodiversity conservation.

Our local environmental groups will be hosting educational stall on the day too!

Meet some live frogs and learn about the collaborative conservation efforts between The Frog and Tadpole Study Group of NSW (FATS) and Council to protect our endangered Green and Golden Bellfrog.

Learn the intricacies of beekeeping and develop a deeper connection with these remarkable pollinators with the Urban Beekeepers of the Inner West. Maybe even try a bit of raw honey and see what these busy workers can make!

Just bring yourself, a water bottle, UV protection (think slip, slop, slap!), closed-toe shoes and gloves (or borrow ours). There are refill water stations located at the park.
