These Terms apply when you choose to save a payment method during waitlist registration on the Humanitix platform. By
providing your card details, you authorise Humanitix to automatically charge your card if and when tickets become
available. Please read these Terms carefully before proceeding.
1. Overview
When you register for a waitlist that supports auto-purchase, you can provide your credit or debit card details at the
time of registration. Your card will be securely tokenised — meaning Humanitix stores a reference to your card, not
your full card number.
If tickets become available and you are next in line, your tokenised card will be automatically charged for the
applicable order amount without any further approval from you. You will receive a confirmation email once the purchase
is complete.
2. Authorisation to Charge
By providing your card details during waitlist registration, you authorise Humanitix (or its third-party payment
processor) to automatically charge your tokenised card for the full or partial order amount when tickets are allocated
to you.
This authorisation remains in effect until:
- Your waitlist registration is cancelled by you;
- Your auto-purchase expiry date passes (if you set one); or
- The event date passes.
You will not receive a further request to approve the charge. Joining the waitlist with a saved card is your
authorisation.
3. What You Will Be Charged
When tickets are allocated to you, you will be charged the applicable ticket price(s) at the time of allocation, plus
any booking fees. The total charged may differ from the price displayed at the time you joined the waitlist if the
event organiser (Host) has changed ticket pricing.
If the total order amount at the time of allocation exceeds the maximum order value calculated when you registered,
your card will not be automatically charged. Instead, you will receive a manual offer via email, giving you the
opportunity to accept or decline the updated pricing.
4. Partial Fulfilment
If you requested multiple tickets and fewer than your full quantity become available, you may be charged for a partial
order. You will remain on the waitlist for the remaining tickets. Each partial allocation will result in a separate
charge to your card.
5. No Guarantee of Tickets
A position on the waitlist does not guarantee that tickets will become available. Ticket availability depends on
capacity released by the Host, cancellations, or resale inventory. Humanitix does not guarantee that your waitlist
registration will be fulfilled.
6. Auto-Purchase Expiry
During registration, you may optionally set an auto-purchase expiry — the number of days before the event after which
you no longer wish to be automatically charged.
If you set an expiry and the date passes without your registration being fulfilled, your registration will be marked
as inactive and your card will not be charged.
If you do not set an expiry, your registration remains eligible for auto-purchase until the event date or until you
cancel.
You can update or remove your auto-purchase expiry at any time via the manage registration page.
7. Card Validity and Payment Failure
It is your responsibility to ensure:
- Your card remains valid and has sufficient funds for the duration of your waitlist registration.
- Your card does not expire before the event end date. Cards expiring before the event end date will be rejected at
the time of registration.
If your card is declined when a ticket is allocated to you:
- Your registration may be marked as inactive, and the ticket will be offered to the next eligible registrant.
- Any tickets allocated in that round will not be held for you.
- You may reactivate your registration and update your card via the manage registration page, but you may have lost
your position for that particular allocation.
8. Refunds
All refunds on auto-purchased orders are governed by the refund policy of the event, as determined by the Host.
Humanitix is not responsible for issuing or approving refunds unless stated otherwise by the Host.
Booking fees are non-refundable.
9. Cancellation and Withdrawal
You may cancel your waitlist registration at any time before tickets are allocated to you, via the manage registration
page linked in your confirmation email.
If you cancel your registration, you will lose your position on the waitlist. You may re-register if the waitlist is
still open, but you will be placed at the end of the queue.
Once an auto-purchase charge has been processed and tickets issued, the order is final and subject to the event's
standard refund policy.
10. Event Cancellation or Changes
If the event is cancelled or materially changed by the Host, any auto-purchased orders are subject to the Host's
stated refund and cancellation policy. Humanitix acts as a platform and is not independently responsible for event
delivery.
11. Card Storage and Security
Your card details are tokenised and stored securely by Humanitix's third-party payment processor. Humanitix does not
store your full card number. You can update your saved card at any time via the manage registration page.
12. Communications
By registering for a waitlist with auto-purchase, you agree to receive email communications related to your waitlist
registration, including registration confirmations, allocation notifications, payment confirmations, payment failure
alerts, and status updates. These communications are transactional and will be sent regardless of your marketing
communication preferences.
13. Disputes
If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact Humanitix support as soon as possible. Disputes relating
to event cancellations, rescheduling, or refund requests should be directed to the Host in accordance with their
stated policy.
14. Changes to These Terms
Humanitix may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, you will be notified using the
contact details you provided at registration.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
