Event description

Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, which won the 1948 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, tells the story of a devastating clash between fantasy and reality.

Blanche DuBois, a fading southern belle, finds herself lost in the modern world. Seeking refuge with her sister Stella in a lively, crowded neighbourhood of New Orleans, she clashes with Stella's rough and unrefined husband, Stanley Kowalski.
