Blanche DuBois, a fading southern belle, finds herself lost in the modern world. Seeking refuge with her sister Stella in a lively, crowded neighbourhood of New Orleans, she clashes with Stella's rough and unrefined husband, Stanley Kowalski. As their tensions escalate, Blanche's delicate sense of self begins to unravel, putting her sanity and her last hope for happiness at risk.
