Strengthen the integrity of your assignments with educational technology
Event description
Academic integrity is best supported through a combination of well-designed assessment tasks and practical security measures. While no approach is foolproof, there are strategies you can apply to minimise opportunities for academic misconduct. This workshop looks at the supported educational technologies you can use to secure your assignments.
Learning objectives
In this workshop, you will be supported to:
use question or item banks to vary quiz, test or exam questions for each teaching period
use question or item banks to vary and randomise questions for each student in a test or exam, ensuring fairness across the class
design and use a contextualised Canvas formula question so that students get slight variations of the same question, including for non-scientific, maths or engineering courses
understand how a lockdown browser test or exam is configured
understand how and when a Zoom Viva voce can be used to secure assignments
see how Turnitin flags copied or AI-generated content
see how Cadmus can be configured to secure an assignment.
This workshop is only available to staff from the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia (including the Integration Management Office). Please ensure that you register with your University staff email account.
