Strengthen Your Submissions

This affordable workshop recorded live in 2024 is designed to help you improve key elements of your submission to the 2026 Mandorla Art Award. The session goes for an hour and offers practical advice tailored to artists who are entering any art award, including Mandorla, and will help you present your work with clarity and confidence. 

Part 1: Photographing your Artwork 

Professional photographer Bo Wong has over 15 years of experience documenting visual art, exhibitions and artists across Australia. She shares practical tips for capturing high-quality images of your 2D and 3D works using your phone or camera.

Part 2: Writing artist statements and biographies 

Mandorla Art Award Curator Erin Coates brings over 15 years of experience as a writer, curator and selection panelist and will guide you through the written work of an artist’s submission. 

Cost: $5 per person 

Access: You will receive an email with the video link and password right after placing an order. The link will remain active until 18 February 2026 when the Mandorla Art Award entries close. 

The 2026 Mandorla Art Award prize pool is $63,000, including a brand new $7,000 Emerging Artist Prize created to support artists in the early stages of their practice.
